CHAPERONE AND QUARANTINE SERVICE

WITH BELGRAVIA

 

 

 

There is growing concern surrounding the safety of students who are returning to the UK. We have been carefully monitoring the situation and liaising with parents and schools to stay up to date with their plans for students who must abide by the government's compulsory 14-day quarantine. 

To ensure that every student continues to receive the highest quality of care, we are pleased to announce that Belgravia will offer a chaperone and quarantine service. 

HOW WILL THE CHAPERONE SERVICE WORK?

Students will be met at Hong Kong airport by our experienced and dedicated staff, who will travel with the students from London Heathrow to their private accommodation. Students will safely remain at the private accommodation until their quarantine period has been completed. To be eligible for this service, every student must have been in Hong Kong for 14 days prior to the flight, and we will follow all Public Health England guidelines in regard to testing. This is to ensure that all students opting for the Belgravia quarantine service have come from a low-risk area, and have not been in contact with students from higher risk areas. Every student will need to complete a Health Declaration Form within 24 hours of departure to confirm they have no symptoms and have not been in contact with any confirmed cases of Covid-19. 

WHO WILL CHAPERONE MY CHILDREN?

We take students' safety extremely seriously, so we are only using highly trusted staff as chaperones to the UK. Chloe Wong will be leading the chaperoning. She is experienced in taking children to the UK and has chaperoned in the past for our partner organisation, Anglo Academy, on Cathay Pacific flights. She is used to flying regularly on long-haul flights, having studied in the USA for university whilst she studied in California. Chloe speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin fluently. If numbers require it, Chloe will be supported by Xin Lau. Xin also has a lot of experience with long-haul flying, as well as also being able to speak several languages fluently, including English, Cantonese, Malay and Mandarin. 

CHAPERONE FEES AND REFUND ELIGIBILITY

The total cost of our chaperone and quarantine service is £1200. This includes chaperoning from Hong Kong airport to London Heathrow, transport in the UK to the home, as well as food, laundry, wifi and accommodation for 14 days.  

 

 

To give you peace of mind, you will be eligible for a full refundable if clearly requested before August 1st. Please note that onward travel to your school is not included, but we can organise it for you at no extra cost, and we will try to car-share to make it as economical as possible, whilst keeping every child as safe as possible.

WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMEONE CATCHES COVID-19 DURING QUARANTINE?

If someone develops Covid-19 symptoms during quarantine, we will make sure that they are in their own room, with their own bathroom, totally isolated from anyone else in the house until we can have them tested. If a student tests positive, we will ensure they are isolated and looked after. We will monitor all other students and if necessary, will test all students to ensure they are all negative. We ask that any student testing positive for Covid-19 needs to be aware that they will stay with a host until they test negative. We will not allow them to start their term while they have symptoms or are testing positive for Covid-19. 

WILL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND TESTING BE AVAILABLE TO THE STUDENTS?

Yes. We are working to provide personal protective equipment and testing for all of our students. This means that from the moment you meet us at the airport to the moment you are dropped off at school, you can rest assured that Belgravia is taking every precaution to ensure your safety. If the current guidelines and testing stays in place, we will be using the NHS test and trace system which returns results within 48 hours and is free for all students.

QUARANTINE WITH PARENTS IN THE UK

For parents who want to quarantine with their children, we can support with finding accommodation. Additionally, we can check there are sufficient cleaning supplies, arrange food deliveries and coordinate transportation. This service is only families with children sign up with Belgravia.
